Got any friends from other communities, or in real life that would be interested in a Bleach forum? Feel free to invite them over to Shinigami Cup! That would be the best thing you could do right now to help the growth of the forums. It would be greatly apppreciated, thanks. :)

Death Note Anyone?

Post by Iceh on Fri Aug 28, 2009 6:16 pm

Death Note would have to be my favourite manga ever.. sorry Bleach );
But.. it's just the most well-written manga in the world. D:
I always fall for mystery/detective/murder mystery books..

Anyways I just wanted to see how many people were interested in Death Note because I wanted to start a "Kira vs. L" topic.
That shit can get in deep.
And I love a good arguement.

Of course though.. I already know the correct answer.. so nobody can beat me.
If that just pissed you off, make sure to say. ;D

This series...I like it, but it's quite hard to get into reading it.
It took me an entire year to finish volume three. When it normally takes me an afternoon to finish a volume of something.

To me, it kinda got boring once L died, it was like the writer didn't know where to go with the story after that.

It's was one of the reasons as to why I liked the Death Note Movies. L came up on top and defeated Light, none of the Near and Mello stuff. Even though they did openly acknowledge that Near and Mello were like pieces to L in the story, it felt kind of weak.

Yeah.. I have to admit that in volume 10, nothing really seemed to happen.
I've actually read Death Note a couple of times now..
But I tend to read volume 10 over and over again, as I forget what happens in that volume. I always think after I've read that volume.. "What happened in this volume..? Uhh.. they're going to meet up in the next two volumes?"
But, the author definately kept his fluidity after L died. He went straight to 'Wammy's House' and got the 'Mello, Near arc' started.
I do prefer the volumes before L died though.. they were more intense. (Excluding the last volume of course.)
